Two Ways to Set Up EasyBiz

Every setting in EasyBiz can be configured manually through the ⚙️ Settings pages — that is what most Help Center guides walk you through. But for many settings there is a faster path: ask the AI assistant to do it for you.

Both paths end in the same place. A payment method added by the assistant is exactly the same as one you add on the Settings page yourself. Use whichever is quicker for the task at hand.

If you have not met the assistant yet, start with Meet Your AI Assistant .

Before You Start

  • You need to be signed in to the EasyBiz Console. The assistant lives in the Help panel, under the Assistant tab.

  • To approve changes, you need to be an owner or admin. Other team members can ask, but the change waits for an owner or admin to approve it.

  • Know what you want the end result to be — “GST at 9%, prices tax-inclusive” gets a better proposal than “fix my tax”.

How It Works

  1. Open the assistant and describe the change in plain language, including the exact values you want.

  2. The assistant prepares the change and shows it as a card in the chat — you see what will change before anything is saved.

  3. Review the proposal. If it is right, click Approve . If not, reject it or reply with a correction, and the assistant adjusts.

  4. Once approved, the change is applied — the same as if you had saved it on the Settings page yourself.

What the Assistant Can Change for You

Today the assistant can propose changes to these areas. In every case, you review and approve before anything is saved:

AreaExamples of what it can change
Payment methodsAdd or edit the custom payment methods your POS accepts
Company tax and roundingTax rates and rounding rules on your company
Discounts and surchargesThe preset adjustment options staff pick at checkout
Company profileYour registered business details
Time slotsThe pickup and delivery time slots customers can book
Service areasWhere each business unit offers pickup and delivery
NotificationsWhich events send notifications to your team
WhatsApp general settingsBusiness hours behaviour and other general WhatsApp options
Store creditYour store credit policy and top-up options (for example “pay $100, get $110”)
Loyalty pointsYour earning policy and the rewards customers can redeem
Receipt textThe wording on your sales order receipts
Brand profileYour logo and brand colours

The assistant can also help you add new parts of your business — for example setting up a new business unit or a new POS sales channel. It walks you through the details it needs, then proposes the setup for your approval.

What It Can Only Guide You On

Some settings the assistant will explain and navigate you to, but will not change for you:

For these, ask the assistant “where do I change this?” — it points you to the exact settings page, and in many cases can open the settings form for you so you only have to fill it in.

Example Requests to Try

Copy any of these into the assistant chat and adjust the details to your business:

  1. “Add a payment method called PayNow QR to my POS.”

  2. “Set my company GST rate to 9%.”

  3. “Create a 10% discount option called ‘Loyal customer’ that staff can apply at checkout.”

  4. “Update my company address to 123 Bedok Road, #01-01.”

  5. “Add a store credit top-up option: customer pays $100 and gets $110 credit.”

  6. “Add a loyalty reward: 500 points for $5 off.”

  7. “Change the thank-you message at the bottom of my receipts to ‘Thank you! See you next week.’”

  8. “Set up delivery time slots for weekday mornings, 9am to 12pm.”

Check the Result

After you approve a change, verify it the same way you would check manual work:

  1. The assistant confirms in the chat once the change is applied.

  2. Open the matching ⚙️ Settings page and confirm the new value is there — for example, check Loyalty Points settings after approving a new reward.

  3. For anything customer-facing (payment methods, time slots, receipts), run a quick test order at your POS to see it live.

If It Didn’t Work

  • The assistant says it cannot make that change — the setting is likely in the guide-only list above. Do it manually on the Settings page; the assistant can take you there.

  • No Approve button appeared for you — approval is limited to owners and admins. Ask your account owner to open the chat and approve, or make the change manually.

  • The assistant says changes are paused — your plan’s AI usage allowance may be used up. The assistant still answers questions and guides you; make the change manually on the Settings page, or review your plan under Billing.

  • The proposal has wrong values — do not approve it. Reply with the correction (“the rate should be 9%, not 8%”) and review the new proposal.

  • You approved the wrong thing — changes are normal settings edits, not locked in. Open the matching Settings page and correct the value manually, or ask the assistant to propose a fix.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is setup by chat safer or riskier than doing it manually? It ends in the same settings, and you see every value before it is saved. The review step is the safety net — read the proposal before approving.

  • Can the assistant set up my whole shop in one go? It works change by change, each with its own approval. For a full first-time setup, follow the Getting Started guides and use the assistant to speed up individual steps.

  • Can staff use this to change settings without my knowledge? No. Changes wait for an owner or admin to approve. Nothing applies without that approval.

  • Does the assistant charge for changes? Depending on your plan, changes it carries out may count toward an AI usage allowance. Answering questions and guiding you is always available.

  • Why does it open a form instead of just doing it? For some settings the assistant hands you the real settings form pre-loaded, so you enter the final values yourself. That is by design for settings that need your judgement.
