Production stages

See every job by stage

A clear board shows what is waiting, what is in progress, and what is ready. Use the stage names your team already recognises, so everyone understands where the job stands.

  • Name each stage the way your team speaks, from received to ready.

  • Jobs appear under the stage that matches the next work step.

  • Each card gives the key job context at a glance.

  • See how much work is sitting in each stage before it piles up.

Work order control

Find any job quickly

When a customer asks for an update, you can find the work order and answer with confidence.

  • Search and filter the list to focus on the work that matters now.

  • Open a job to check its items, tasks, status, notes, and location.

  • Open the sales order when you need customer, payment, or order details.

  • Print work order details or use QR codes when the production floor needs them.

Intake details

Capture the details before work starts

Some jobs need more than a product name. Item details, notes, condition information, counts, and labels travel with the work from the start.

  • Ask for the right information when a specific item is added to the order.

  • Record item-specific details such as weight, size, length, or item count when your setup collects them.

  • Keep condition details and repair notes with the job.

  • Keep physical items tied to the correct order with counts and item labels.

Tasks and procedures

Give every job clear task instructions

Each work order shows what needs to be done, who owns it, when it is due, and the notes or photos needed to finish it properly.

  • Use saved task types so repeat work follows the same standard.

  • Add tasks by hand, or let the right tasks appear from the job details.

  • Give each task a clear owner and deadline.

  • Keep proof and instructions with the task, so the next person knows what happened.

  • Matching work goes to the right center based on the business type and order source.

  • Receive work manually when a one-off job needs a different path.

FAQ

Common questions about Production

Who is Production for?

Production is for laundry, dry cleaning, repair, alteration, workshop, specialty cleaning, and other service businesses where work must pass through a backroom, plant, workshop, or production team before it is completed.

What is included at each tier?

Both tiers cover order-stage and job tracking, the production board, work orders, saved procedures, task photos, attachments, and diagnostic notes; Standard and Professional differ by workflow complexity, and the pricing page lists both. Capacity planning, quality gates, and custom forms are still to come.

Can I customize the production stages?

Yes. The production pipeline can use your own stage names, and each stage can be linked to the procedures that should appear in that queue.

Can tasks be created automatically?

Yes. You can add tasks manually, and EasyBiz Cloud can also create tasks from rules based on the job details and setup.

Can my team add photos and notes?

Yes. Work order tasks can include photos and notes. Intake flows can also capture item details and condition notes before work starts.

Can I route work to different work areas?

Yes. You can create work areas such as plants, workshops, rooms, or specialist areas, then set fixed assignments by business type and order source. If you do not use fixed assignments, work can still be received manually when a job needs a different path.

Does it include inventory?

Inventory Management is available as a separate add-on. It covers stock levels, stock in/out, transfers, movement history, and inventory exports.

Can I tell a customer when the job will be ready?

You can set and see due times on each work order and task, so the team knows what is promised and what is late. What the system does not do yet is calculate a completion date from your workload — capacity planning is still to come, so the promised date is your team's call.

How are seats counted?

Production is priced per Full seat, and each person holds one seat no matter how many products they use — the manager planning the work and the worker scanning it are on the same seat at the same rate. Professional adds a flat monthly base for the routing, capacity, and ETA engine; it bundles no seats, and multiple production centres are not charged.
