Where This Fits
Creating a campaign is a three-step wizard — Setup (name, WhatsApp account, template), Audience, and Review. This guide covers step 2. For the overall flow, start with Sending WhatsApp Broadcasts and Campaigns .
Your audience is always drawn from your existing customer list — the same contacts you see on the Contacts page. Customers who have opted out of marketing (or are marked Do Not Contact) are excluded from receiving marketing messages.
The Audience Cap
The one rule that is always on: Max recipients, with an Audience cap that defaults to 500. It is a safeguard — a new campaign cannot accidentally blast your entire customer base because you forgot a filter.
The cap works together with Order By:
-
Order By sorts the matching customers — by Last Order Date (default), Total Orders, or Total Spent.
-
The cap then takes the top of that sorted list.
So “cap 500, ordered by Total Spent” means your 500 biggest spenders that match the filters — not a random 500. Raise or lower the cap to fit the campaign.
The Filters
Add any of these from More filters :
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Registration place | Limit the audience to customers registered at one sales channel |
| Channel mix | Customers who buy POS only, Online only, or Both POS and online |
| Registration date | Only customers who joined during a date window |
| Last order date | Only customers whose most recent order falls in a date range |
| Total Orders | Only customers whose completed order count falls inside a min–max range |
| Total Spent | Only customers whose lifetime spend falls inside a min–max range |
| Recent campaign cooldown | Skip customers already reached by a broadcast within the last N days |
As you adjust filters, the live count shows how many customers are currently selected. You can also untick individual customers in the list to exclude them by hand.
Recipes That Work
What Happens at Launch
When you confirm the campaign on the Review step, the audience is locked as a snapshot — the recipient list is fixed at launch time. Customers who qualify after launch are not added, and the campaign detail page shows the locked list with each recipient’s delivery status.
Two more things decided at Review:
-
Zero matches blocks launch — if no customers match your filters, tighten them; there is nothing to send to.
-
Daily messaging limits — WhatsApp caps how many customers your number can message per day (the tier shows in the campaign summary). If your audience exceeds the limit, the campaign is not blocked — messages are delivered in batches across multiple days.
FAQs
How do I send to all my customers?
Remove the optional filters and raise the Audience cap above your customer count. Do this deliberately — an untargeted blast to everyone is rarely worth the opt-outs it causes.
Can I upload a phone-number list from a spreadsheet?
No. Campaigns target your existing EasyBiz customers only — that keeps your sending reputation safe and your opt-outs honored.
Why is the recipient count lower than my filter math suggests?
The audience honors opt-outs and suppressions, the cap trims the list, and a cooldown filter removes recently-messaged customers. Check those three first.
Can I add someone after the campaign started?
No — the list is locked at launch. Send them the template individually from their WhatsApp conversation, or include them in the next campaign.
